Private Practice Dietitian/Nutritionist Wayne Nutrition LLC Wayne, PA 19087 • Hybrid work Job Overview Wayne Nutrition LLC is a rapidly growing private practice located on the Philadelphia’s Main Line. We serve to counsel clients one on one regarding proper nutrition for whatever their health goals and/or concerns. Wayne Nutrition LLC is looking for a part-time dietitian that can create individualized and sustainable diet plans and who focuses on overall wellness practices that are scientifically based. The ideal candidate will be well-educated on various nutritional topics and medical conditions, up to date on the latest food products and diet fads and have exceptional “people skills” with lots of charisma whom clients will enjoy meeting with. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, honest, self-driven, eager to learn, and excited to improve the health and lives of clients. Primary Function Under the direction of the Lead Dietitian of Wayne Nutrition LLC, the Part-time Dietitian will be responsible for meeting one on one with clients in the office and via telehealth for nutrition counseling sessions. This dietitian must have a vast knowledge of various disease states and concerns including, but not limited to, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, IBS, food allergies, eating disorders, Celiac disease, sports nutrition, menopause, and vegan/vegetarianism. This is a part-time contract position, with the opportunity to quickly build up working hours by expanding his/her client load. Essential Functions Meets one on one with clients of all age groups both in the Wayne office and via telehealth while effectively documenting patient visits. Schedules clients, obtains insurance information and enters into billing program, and responds to client emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Performs a diet analysis and makes meal plans for each client, in addition to being able to adapt to each client’s needs to send relevant articles, recipes, etc. Is flexible to write blog posts, new recipes, etc. as requested by Lead Dietitian. Is strict about client confidentiality and follows all HIPAA practices. Coordinates with Lead Dietitian to make sure schedules do not overlap for in office times and practices exemplary communication with Lead Dietitian including weekly status updates on all client appointments. Willing to work on alternative projects as needed, such as: health fairs, community engagements, interviews, blog writing, attending workplace meetings, etc. Obtain physician referrals as needed. Educational Requirements Registered Dietitian (RD) required. Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Pennsylvania required. NPI number required. Master’s Degree preferred. Experiential Requirements At least 2 years in an outpatient (one on one) counseling setting required. Weight loss, diabetes, and heart health counseling experience required. Vegetarianism, pregnancy, peri-menopause, IBS, and sports nutrition experience preferred. At least 5 years total of relevant work in the dietetics field Other Requirements/Preferences American Academy of Dietetics membership preferred. Professional Liability insurance required. In network with Independence Blue Cross required [or near the end of the credentialing process]. In network with Aetna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and/or Cigna preferred. Scheduling Considerations The Part-time Dietitian will be expected to sign on as soon as possible with limited hours to shadow the Lead Dietitian and learn the skills and programs needed to be successful at Wayne Nutrition LLC. Once meeting with clients commences, the Part-time Dietitian may start with as few as 5 hours per week during the early phases of onboarding but is expected to be able to handle at minimum 10 hours of client hours per week, with the potential to grow. Potential candidates please keep in mind your availability before applying to this position. You will have the most opportunity to meet in the office with clients on Mondays and Fridays, as well as before 10am and after 4pm Tuesday-Thursday, and all-day Saturday and Sundays. Telehealth sessions can be scheduled at any time. In office vs. telehealth hours will change week to week based on client preference, but it is expected that the candidate will be able to meet in the Wayne office at least 5 hours per week. Dietitian must have flexibility in their schedule and be able to allocate at minimum 10 hours a week to seeing clients (virtually or in-office). Additionally, the Part-time Dietitian will be responsible for responding to emails, scheduling clients, and planning for client sessions. Some mornings, evenings, and weekend days may be required depending on client scheduling needs. The Dietitian will have flexibility to schedule clients around his/her schedule as well as the client preference.
