The ideal candidate will possess a strong background and interest in pediatric nutrition and physical activity (sports training), with a focus on providing comprehensive nutritional assessments and health coaching to pediatric patients and their families. This role requires expertise in diagnostic evaluation and the ability to develop tailored dietary action plans. Our most common patients have texture complexes, failure to thrive, obesity, and some eating disorder patients. The position is fully remote, however it is required that you are licensed in South Carolina and within ~90 minutes of a drive to Columbia, SC for initial training and quarterly career advancement meetings. You will not be required to bring new clients in, but a bonus will be awarded for external clients that are brought in by you. You will be paid per hour of session, even if the client no-shows. Hours are flexible to work when you would like to set your schedule, however must be set your schedule one month in advance. Kids In Pursuit is a non profit focused on the health and wellness of families to provide nutritional care to all those who need it, regardless of income or insurance status. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional health needs and dietary restrictions. Develop individualized action plans based on patient health goals, preferences, and medical conditions. Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them through lifestyle changes and dietary adjustments. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care. Educate patients and families about nutrition principles, physical activity, food choices, and healthy eating habits. Stay updated on the latest research in dietetics and nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations. Experience Must have Masters Degree (preferably in Nutrition/Dietetics) Licensed Dietitian in South Carolina Preferred Personal Training or CSCS certification Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and dietetics Understanding and belief in the health at any size concept Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques for assessing nutritional status Experience in health or athletic coaching Proficiency in using dietary systems for meal planning and patient management.
