This position is responsible for managing dietary services, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and promoting optimal nutrition through effective meal planning and dietary management. The Dietary Manager will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the dietary needs of patients. Duties Supervise dietary staff and coordinate daily operations of the dietary department. Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and individual patient needs. Oversee tube feeding procedures and ensure proper aliment administration for patients requiring specialized nutrition support. Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess patient nutritional status and adjust care plans as necessary. Manage inventory, budgeting, and procurement of food supplies to maintain efficient operations within the dietary department. Provide health coaching to patients and staff regarding nutrition-related topics and healthy eating practices. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation standards. Skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team. Knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, including understanding dietary requirements for various health conditions. Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques to assess patient nutritional needs accurately. Experience in budgeting and managing resources effectively within a dietary setting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs while ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines.
