Director of Nursing Services Confidential Troy, AL 36079 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality resident care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of nursing administration, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. This role requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, as well as the ability to manage nursing staff effectively in a dynamic environment. Duties Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records. Oversee the MDS (Minimum Data Set) process, ensuring accurate assessments and documentation. Manage shift operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow. Provide leadership in hospice care services, promoting compassionate end-of-life care for patients and families. Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through staff training and professional development initiatives. Qualifications Valid nursing license with significant experience in nursing administration or leadership roles. Proven experience in supervising nursing staff and managing healthcare operations. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, MDS processes, and medical record management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Experience in hospice care is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
