This leadership position requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including home care, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The DON will be responsible for developing nursing policies, managing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines. Duties Lead and manage the nursing department to ensure quality patient care is delivered consistently. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in home health, acute care, and assisted living environments. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional development. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for patients. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare standards and HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address concerns and enhance patient satisfaction. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in nursing practices to promote innovative care solutions. Qualifications Licensed Nurse (LPN) license required; nursing degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Proven experience in nurse management within home care, nursing homes, or assisted living settings. Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance standards. Experience with acute care settings is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of nurses. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
