!! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing management, with expertise in assisted living and long-term care settings. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical records, resident rights, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and fostering a culture of excellence among the nursing staff. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures. Conduct assessments and evaluations of resident needs, utilizing MDS (Minimum Data Set) as necessary. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for residents. Ensure proper documentation of medical records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and adherence to best practices. Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed. Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all residents. Requirements Current RN (Registered Nurse) license with significant experience in nurse management. Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical records management, and resident rights. Familiarity with MDS assessments and regulatory compliance standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor nursing staff. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
