The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in management, assisted living, and home care environment. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care while managing nursing staff and maintaining compliance with resident rights and medical regulations. Duties Lead and manage nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee daily operations of nursing services to ensure quality patient care and adherence to medical protocols. Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in nursing care. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans. Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as necessary. Ensure that resident rights are upheld in all aspects of care delivery. Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times. Provide leadership and direction to the nursing and caregiving team, ensuring quality care and compliance with all regulations and policies. Oversee the medication management system, including medication passes, documentation, and compliance with physician orders. Supervise clinical staff including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and corrective actions. Ensure staff competencies through ongoing training and skills assessments. Participate in the admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate care planning and continuity. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of resident care and changes in condition. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed. Conduct routine audits and quality assurance activities to improve outcomes and ensure compliance. Serve as a liaison with physicians, families, residents, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Activities, Dietary, Housekeeping) to support residents’ holistic well-being. Participate in community events and marketing activities as a clinical representative of the community. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse CORE Certification Proven experience in nursing management or leadership roles within acute care, assisted living, or nursing home settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, and families. Familiarity with regulations governing resident rights and healthcare practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities.
