A leading skilled nursing center in the Palm Bay area seeks a seasoned and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and uphold the highest standards of patient care. The DON will oversee nursing operations, establish and refine nursing policies, and work closely with healthcare staff to maintain a safe, positive, and effective care environment.

Primary Responsibilities :

Lead all nursing services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Develop and manage nursing policies, protocols, and quality standards. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff to maintain a cohesive team. Oversee patient care programs and implement quality assurance measures. Coordinate patient care with physicians, healthcare teams, and support staff. Align nursing department activities with the organization’s goals and mission. Ensure accurate patient records and manage documentation of care. Manage nursing department budgets, staffing, and resource allocation. Participate in facility-wide meetings and collaborate with administration on organizational goals. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards.

Qualifications :

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree (MSN or relevant field) preferred. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, particularly CMS guidelines. Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills. Ability to build a collaborative and positive work environment. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
