We are looking to hire and train immediately. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical terminology, and a solid understanding of home health practices. This role requires a commitment to maintaining resident rights and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a positive environment for both staff and patients. Responsibilities Oversee the nursing department, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times. Manage daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Implement and monitor care plans, including MDS assessments for residents in acute care settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care strategies that meet the needs of residents. Maintain knowledge of current trends in nursing practices and healthcare regulations. Advocate for resident rights and ensure that all staff members uphold these principles in their daily interactions. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Florida license; BSN preferred. Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, particularly in home health or acute care environments. Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge essential for effective patient care management. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively. Familiarity with documentation review processes and MDS assessments is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration among staff and with residents’ families.
