Nursing Full Job Description Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Oversight:

Provide overall leadership for clinical services . Oversee the quality of patient care delivered by our team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs/HHAs, and therapists. Establish clinical policies and standards that ensure every client receives safe, compassionate, and personalized care in line with our concierge model.

Staff Hiring & Development:

Recruit, hire, and onboard compassionate caregivers and nursing staff as our census grows. Develop and implement training programs to ensure all staff are competent in their roles and understand our high service standards. Mentor and supervise clinical staff, providing ongoing feedback, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team culture focused on excellence in care.

Client Assessments & Care Plans:

Oversee client intake assessments and admissions. You may personally conduct in-home assessments for new clients, evaluating their health status, environment, and needs. Ensure that personalized care plans are developed for each client (in collaboration with the admitting RN or intake nurse) and that these plans address both medical needs and concierge services requested. Review and approve plans of care, and adjust them as needed in coordination with physicians and the care team.

Care Coordination & Scheduling:

Manage the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of caregiver visits to match client needs and preferences. Work closely with scheduling staff (if any) or handle scheduling directly in our startup phase. Ensure that every shift is covered by appropriately trained staff and that caregivers are punctual and prepared. Optimize workflows to maintain reliability and responsiveness, especially for our concierge clients who expect timely service.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Take charge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance for the agency. Develop QA programs (chart audits, patient satisfaction surveys, etc.) to monitor performance. Ensure compliance with Florida state regulations and Medicare requirements for home health, including documentation, care protocols, and incident management. Prepare for any state/Medicare surveys or audits. Maintain policies for infection control, emergency preparedness, and other required areas.

Client Relations & Service Excellence:

Be an advocate for our clients. Monitor client satisfaction and clinical outcomes, and proactively address any concerns or issues with care. For our concierge members, ensure they are delighted with the extra services – this could include occasional phone check-ins, coordinating specialty services, or adjusting care plans to meet evolving needs. While your role is primarily operational, you’ll maintain relationships with clients and families to uphold our culture of personalized service.

Collaboration & Strategy:

Work closely with the agency founder/CEO and other team members to shape the growth strategy and service offerings. Provide input on expanding services, improving efficiency, and upholding our mission. You’ll also collaborate with the Sales Liaison or marketing team to ensure alignment between what is promised to clients and what is delivered. Identify opportunities to upsell additional services to existing clients (for example, recommending an upgrade in membership tier or add-on wellness services) in a manner that benefits the client’s well-being.

Hands-On Support:

In the spirit of a startup, be ready to “roll up your sleeves.” This might mean stepping in to cover a nursing visit in a pinch, assisting with a training session, or handling an urgent client need after hours on occasion. Lead by example by being accessible to your team and willing to tackle frontline challenges when necessary.

Qualifications Licensure & Education:

Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required). BSN required; MSN or relevant graduate degree a plus.

Experience:

2 + years of nursing experience , with 1 + years in a home health supervisory or management role (e.g., DON, ADON, Nursing Supervisor, or Case Manager). Proven experience in managing clinical staff and overseeing patient care in a home health or similar setting.

Home Health Knowledge:

A robust understanding of home health care regulations (State of FL and Medicare Conditions of Participation) and familiarity with the operations of a Medicare-certified home health agency. Experience with private-duty or concierge home care services is beneficial.

Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership and team-building abilities. You can inspire, mentor, and hold accountable a diverse caregiving team. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially under the dynamic conditions of a growing startup.

Organizational Skills:

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. Able to manage schedules , handle multiple priorities, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Comfortable using home care software or scheduling tools (or quick to learn new systems).

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and family members. Bilingual English/Spanish or other languages common in South Florida is a plus (but not required).

Mission-Driven:

A genuine passion for patient-centric care and alignment with our mission of providing personalized care “With Purpose.” You consistently advocate for quality and compassion in care delivery.

Adaptability:

Thrives in an entrepreneurial, early-stage environment . Flexible and adaptable to change as we develop new processes or services. Willingness to take on additional duties outside of the traditional DON scope when needed – wearing multiple hats doesn’t intimidate you.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client visits or meetings. (Most work is done from our office/home-base and in the field within Broward County.) Basic computer proficiency for documentation, email, and supervising electronic health records use.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:

$80,000-$90,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, an annual performance bonus structure and upsell sales commission will reward you for meeting quality, growth, and client satisfaction targets. (We are open to discussion to ensure the right candidate is incentivized and happy!)

Benefits:

As a core early leader, you will also have the opportunity to help shape our benefits program as we grow (potential for additional perks like 401k match, profit sharing, etc., in the future).

Expenses & Tools:

We provide the tools you need to succeed – company laptop, mobile stipend, and mileage reimbursement for any travel. If on-call duties are needed, we will arrange support so you’re not alone 24/7 (we value work-life balance, even in a startup).

Career Growth:

This role is positioned to grow into a senior leadership position as the company scales. For example, you could advance to a Regional DON, VP of Clinical Services, or even Chief Nursing Officer as we expand. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term and take on greater responsibility over time.

Work Environment:

Join a early-stage environment where your ideas are welcomed and you have the creative freedom to build efficient systems from scratch. You’ll work closely with the founder and be part of the core decision-making team. The work is challenging but highly rewarding – you’ll see the direct impact of your efforts on our patients and staff. We foster a collaborative, family-like atmosphere dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. HL01
