Memory Care Director The Vista at Hammock Cove Naples, FL 34113 Job Summary The Memory Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the memory care unit within our facility, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of resident rights, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with memory-related challenges. The Memory Care Director will work closely with staff, families, and external partners to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes dignity and respect. Duties Lead and manage all aspects of the memory care program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Develop individualized care plans that reflect the unique needs and preferences of each resident. Foster a culture of respect for resident rights while promoting independence and choice. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical care and support services for residents. Train, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to operational policies. Implement programs that enhance residents’ cognitive function and overall well-being. Manage operational budgets, including financial acumen in resource allocation and cost management. Engage with families to provide updates on resident progress and address any concerns or questions. Ensure a safe environment by conducting regular assessments of the facility and addressing any safety hazards. Experience Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or retirement homes, with a focus on memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong leadership skills with experience in operations management within healthcare environments. Knowledge of home care practices, resident rights, and regulatory requirements related to memory care services. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
