2474 Position Summary The Director of Nursing and Quality will provide strategic leadership, oversee nursing practices, and ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient care across the health center. This leadership role is essential in upholding the mission and values of our organization. Essential Duties & Functions

  • Guide and supervise nursing, medical assistant, laboratory, and quality teams, fostering an environment that promotes professional development, teamwork, and high standards of care.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives and metrics to ensure consistent adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and review of clinical policies and procedures in conjunction with the Chief Medical Information Officer.
  • Ensures clinical operations are in compliance with established standards and regulations as determined by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), other Federal, State, and other authoritative or accrediting bodies.
  • Collaborates with CMIO in development and implementation of formal and informal teaching plans for patients, families, staff, and community.
  • Participates in the recruiting, hiring, and retention of staff as needed to support patient demand and staff needs.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team in setting and driving organizational vision and operational strategy.
  • Facilitate ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities for clinical and quality teams.
  • Performs chart reviews and enforces compliance with appropriate documentation and workflow adherence for UDS collected data.
  • Travel between multiple sites as required to provide oversight, support, and ensure consistent implementation of care and operational standards.
  • Manages the health centers budget by monitoring inventory control processes using a cost-effective approach while ensuring health center is adequately stocked with all necessary supplies.
  • Appropriately requests authorization for purchases from supervisor and or clinical leadership.
  • Works with heath center clinical leadership to ensure adequate staffing of the health centers.
  • Administers employee health program to include TB screening, FIT testing, and vaccination coordination with Human Resources.
  • Maintain timecards and PTO for health center clinical leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of nursing
  • Current Florida RN license in good standing
  • BLS Required Years of Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in nursing and quality, preferably in an FQHC setting Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, administrators, and support staff.
  • Proficient in electronic health record systems and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.
  • Ability to engage others, listen and adapt response to meet others’ needs.
