Position Responsibilities:
Ensure nursing clinical skill and competency of nursing staff members Develop and organize clinical education for nursing staff members Guide and educate nurses to achieve ultimate patient outcomes using best practice as a guide Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and best practices in clinical services Assist with daily clinical operations within the organization in conjunction with the VP of Clinical Operations and Director of Therapy Services Manage and supervise the nursing team, including performance evaluations Assist with the hiring process, on-boarding and training of all nursing staff members On-call duties after hours and every other week to assist as a nursing resource and to advise on any telehealth high-alerts Co-manage the telehealth program with Director of Therapy Services Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines Assess and monitor patient’s condition and assist in developing appropriate care plan Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes as needed
Your Qualifications Should Include:
Minimum of 3 years acute care experience as a Registered Nurse Minimum of 6 months experience in Medicare Home Health Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in the nursing field is required BSN, MSN, and/or ARNP preferred Proficient in nursing judgement, patient-focused mind-set, and excellent patient assessment skills Strong knowledge of Medicare Home Health regulations and acute care practices Proven experience in nursing management of a team of nursing professionals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Proficient in performing complex wound care and wound vacs, IV therapy, central line care, pleurx catheters, post-operative cardiothoracic care and other cardiac and geriatric assessment expertise Excellent computer skills, including point of care, use of a tablet, and other equipment such as bladder scanner, 12 lead ECG, and telehealth We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as health insurance, mileage reimbursement and a 401k plan.
