Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at Care Centers of Nassau. In this pivotal role, you will oversee nursing operations, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. Your leadership will be essential in fostering an environment that supports the well-being and development of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities Oversee all nursing operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that enhance patient care. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery. Conduct regular assessments of resident health needs and coordinate appropriate interventions. Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities. Promote resident rights and advocate for their well-being within the community. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred. Proven experience in nurse management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and resident rights. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with medical records management and healthcare compliance standards.
