Director of Nursing – RN Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation Center 2970 Scarlet Road, Winter Park, FL 32792 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in a Long Term Care Facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing management, with a deep understanding of Medicare regulations. This leadership role requires a commitment to quality patient care, effective shift management, and the ability to oversee documentation review processes to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered consistently. Manage nursing staff schedules and shifts to maintain adequate coverage and support for residents. Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews of resident care plans, including MDS documentation. Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and assisted living standards, implementing necessary changes as required. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional development. Review and analyze documentation for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies promptly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care and improve overall health outcomes. Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices, anatomy, and physiology to inform clinical decisions. Experience A valid nursing license with significant experience in nurse management within an assisted living or home health setting is required. Proficiency in MDS processes and familiarity with Medicare regulations is essential. Demonstrated ability in shift management, ensuring effective team performance during all hours of operation. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support clinical assessments and interventions. Experience in documentation review processes to uphold quality standards within the nursing department.
