Director of Nursing – RN Still Behaivoral Health 200 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33432 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage our nursing team across two facilities, providing exceptional care in a Substance Abuse Detox and Residential treatment setting . This leadership role oversees clinical operations for a total of 28 beds , ensuring compliance, quality standards, and a supportive environment for both staff and clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing management, with a deep understanding of resident rights, medical records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. This leadership role requires a commitment to fostering a compassionate and safe environment for both residents and staff. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in assisted living and acute care settings. Conduct regular assessments of resident care plans. Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and address any medical or emotional needs of residents. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Advocate for resident rights while promoting a culture of respect and dignity within the facility. Proficient in KIPU. Skills Proven experience in nurse management within substance abuse and behavioral health. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical records management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, residents, and families. Ability to implement systems that improve patient care quality and operational efficiency. Familiarity with assessments and documentation practices. Compassionate leadership style that inspires trust and teamwork among nursing staff. 1+ year as Director of Nursing experience is a must.
