We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Nursing, RN (DON) to join our team. The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of geriatric care, exhibits strong leadership abilities, and has an excellent track record in managing nursing operations.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a

DON:

Develop and implement nursing care plans for residents. Manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards for long-term care and assisted living facilities. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care. Monitor resident health and update care plans as necessary. Implement and oversee infection control practices within the facility. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Participate in facility budgeting, planning, and quality assurance processes. Stay informed about advancements in long-term care and geriatric nursing.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: RN currently licensed by State of Georgia is required. Infection Prevention certification preferred or willingness to become certified upon hire. Current CPR certification is required. MDS experience At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role. Long term care/memory care experience preferred. Ability to take call and work some nights /weekends, and holidays.
