Pinewood Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage our nursing department. The DON will oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and provide leadership to nursing staff in a supportive and team-oriented environment. This role is key to upholding our commitment to excellence in resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to residents by monitoring clinical practices and outcomes. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing personnel; promote a positive and productive work environment. Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of practice. Collaborate with the Administrator, medical staff, and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and resident-focused care. Monitor staffing patterns and make adjustments as needed to meet resident needs and budget requirements. Manage infection prevention and control efforts and ensure proper documentation and follow-through. Respond to state surveys and audits; lead the facility through the survey process and implement corrective actions as necessary. Serve as a resource and support for residents, families, and staff regarding care concerns and clinical matters.

Qualifications:

Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, including those governing long-term care (CMS, DPH). Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
