Director of Nursing – RN 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Gainesville, GA Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care and skilled nursing environments. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. Duties Lead and manage the nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care. Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards. Conduct regular assessments of resident care plans, including MDS assessments, to ensure optimal health outcomes. Ensure that all staff are trained on resident rights and uphold these rights in daily practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for residents. Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels and effective workflow during all shifts. Maintain knowledge of current best practices in nursing and healthcare management. Provide leadership in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and satisfaction. Requirements Current RN license with a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in home care or assisted living settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of physiology and nursing practices related to acute care. Experience with MDS assessments and regulatory compliance within healthcare settings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff. Commitment to maintaining high standards of resident care while promoting a positive work environment.
