Director of Nursing Services-RN Confidential Fredericktown, MO 63645 Job Summary The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in acute care and home care settings. The Director of Nursing will be instrumental in developing policies, managing nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a collaborative environment among the nursing team. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards. Oversee patient care services, ensuring adherence to quality standards and protocols. Manage staffing schedules, including shift management, to ensure adequate coverage for all nursing shifts. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with Medicare regulations. Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements as necessary. Provide training and professional development opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills. Supervise the daily operations of the nursing department, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Skills Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate nursing staff. In-depth knowledge of acute care and home care practices. Proficient understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
