This position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in nursing, particularly in assisted living and home health environments. The Director of Nursing will advocate for resident rights, manage medical records, and ensure compliance with Medicare regulations while fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere for both staff and residents. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident rights and quality care. Oversee the maintenance of accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Provide guidance, training, and support to nursing staff, fostering professional development and leadership skills. Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed. Stay current with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and industry trends to enhance care delivery. Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and other relevant healthcare laws. Skills Strong background in assisted living, home health, or home care settings. In-depth knowledge of resident rights and advocacy. Proficient understanding of medical records management and medical terminology. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and mentorship. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the nursing field.
