Salary:
up to $145k + Annual Bonus Responsibilities The Director of Nursing Services oversees and evaluates nursing operations to ensure high-quality resident care and clinical compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations Assures appropriateness of resident admission to the community by reviewing pre-admission medical evaluations, collecting residents’ personal data, evaluating resident functional levels and assessing residents’ needs for assistance with activities of daily living Assists physicians and Directors of Assisted Living and Memory Care with planning for the residents’ nursing care and completes resident assessment forms Partners with providers such as pharmacies, hospice, home health agencies, and rehab to ensure resident care is coordinated Meets with prospective residents, current residents, and their families to discuss any concerns related to resident care, address and resolve challenges promptly and in an appropriate manner while promoting positive customer relations Responsible for leading Health Maintenance meetings to provide a regular review of resident individual service plans, documenting and coordinating changes in care plans with service providers to meet resident requirements and ensuring implementation Reviews the effectiveness of resident service plan care notes, medication administration records, treatment administration records, and other required record-keeping, and directs any changes as needed Represents the community and nursing services in professional and community events and maintains positive relationships with referral sources and service providers Participates in the recruiting and onboarding processes to include screening and interviewing candidates as well as training new team members Supervises and routinely evaluates the performance of licensed nursing personnel and assures adherence to company policy Provides input into the annual budget planning process for the Nursing department Monitors and adjusts licensed nursing staffing levels, care coordination and delivery, supply inventories, labor cost, supply cost, and quality of care goals Assures resident rights are protected and the privacy of resident health care information is protected Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies Monitors Key Business Objective indicators and participates in regular reviews to identify improvement opportunities and level of compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations and community policies Attend training courses and participate in other professional development activities to meet community requirements and maintain professional certification Attends and participates in workshops, seminars and other programs to keep informed of changes in the healthcare field The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
