Director of Nursing:

• Overseeing registered nurses in our hospital setting
• Involved with hiring decisions and performance reviews
• Creating budget for nursing department
• Working with executive staff to ensure patient care is of high quality
• Developing policies and procedures
• Implementing strategic plan to assist daily nursing practice
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare workers such as Physical Therapists and MD’s
• Documenting notes in EMR system when appropriate
• Develop plans to make nursing services more efficient Requirements for

Director of Nursing:

• New York State Registered Nurse license
• BSN or Masters of Nursing Degree
• Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience with pediatrics
• Strong experience working in pediatrics
• Good communication skills
