Director of Nursing Sayre Health Care Center 151 Keefer Lane, Sayre, PA 18840 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in a Skilled Nursing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of nursing administration, and a commitment to upholding resident rights and quality care standards. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with PA Department of Health regulations and HIPAA guidelines while fostering a supportive atmosphere for both staff and residents. Responsibilities Oversee the nursing department, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times. Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including PA Department of Health, Medicare and HIPAA standards. Promote resident rights and advocate for their well-being within the facility. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve overall health outcomes. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on assessments and feedback. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes in accordance with facility policies. Stay current with best practices in nursing administration. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Proven experience in nursing administration or a similar leadership role within an skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, nursing practices, resident rights, and regulatory compliance (DOH Regulations, Medicare, HIPAA). Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Proficient in developing care plans that meet the unique needs of residents. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on interpersonal relationships. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining focus on patient-centered care.
