- BSN Nursing Program A small, student-focused college in the MidAtlantic area is seeking an experienced and inspiring Interim Director of its BSN Nursing Program to join at a pivotal time—the college’s first cohort of BSN students will graduate this coming spring .
The program is in a moment of transition, and the institution is committed to finding the right leader to guide its continued growth, mentor its faculty, and ensure continued success in preparing students for licensure and practice. This role reports directly to the Associate Provost of Health Sciences, who is leading the search, and offers a highly collaborative environment that values team-building, student-centered leadership, and academic excellence. Flexibility and Opportunity:
The college is open to both interim and interim-to-perm candidates, ideally someone licensed in the state or eligible for temporary licensure. Support for travel and housing can be arranged for interim role.
Work-Life Balance:
No students in the summer; the position is 12-month, but clinical faculty are typically on a 9-month schedule. Full-time presence expected M-F, with flexibility for one clinical practice day per week. Interim assignment to last six to twelve months…will consider interim to perm!
Ideal Candidate Profile Nurse Educator & Team Builder:
You bring not just credentials, but the people skills to unite a faculty team that is committed, yet in need of stronger leadership and cohesion. Licensed RN within the state (or eligible for temporary licensure); Terminal degree (PhD or DNP) required. Proven Leadership in Nursing Education with knowledge of state board requirements, accreditation, and program oversight. You may have held academic leadership roles or worked closely with academic teams from a clinical education or adjunct perspective, with knowledge and experience in accreditation. Comfortable mentoring new faculty and fostering a positive, collaborative teaching culture. Local candidates preferred, but housing/travel assistance available for out-of-area interims. Timeline & Hiring Process The outgoing director leaves July 1 , and the college is seeking an ASAP start date for an interim leader while searching for the permanent fit.
