Director of Nursing Services Position Available In Luzerne, Pennsylvania

Director of Nursing Services Pain Center of Wyoming Valley 142 Mundy Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 This position is for a new center being built in the Wilkes Barre area right now! Responsible for overseeing aspects of the operating functions, processes, and nursing staff of the facility and efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical operations. The following description is the intended as the major responsibilities of the job, but other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time. 1) Oversee the construction of a DOH/DAAC/Medicare approved ASC. 2) Create policies and procedures that comply with state and federal regulations. 3) Supervise and direct all nursing care given while in the center. 4) Organize staff orientation and document staff competency. 5) Ensure that AORN standards are followed and implement them all. 6) Attend in-services and seminars pertinent to position. 7) Coordinate and maintain Medical Staff Credentialing 8) Coordinate and maintain staff health files and employee credentialing files. 9) Conducts in-services 10) Maintains safety programs and committee. 11) Conducts Staff meetings to keep staff up-to-date on changes in the center. 12) Continues to seek new and improved methods to continue quality of patient care. 13) Assigns and directs personnel in ASC 14) Informs medical direct of any reportable situations and any departmental needs. 15) Controls daily ASC schedule. 16) Learn and work all aspects of the nursing positions in the center. Qualifications Registered Nurse (R.N.) is required. B.S.N preferred. Current and valid PA license to practice. Good Communication skills. ASC experience preferred. Must have or obtain BLS and ACLS.
