Work Shift:

Days/Afternoons (United States of America) The Director, Nursing will have system-wide oversight of Roper St. Franics Healthcare’s Professional Development, WOCN, Vascular Access, Patient Transport, and Mobile Resource Pool.

Position Responsibilities:

Directs and manages clinical outcomes in accordance with current evidenced – based practice guidelines. Facilitate the planning, organization, implementation and control of the resources needed for optimal performance in coordination with physicians, other clinicians and support staff. Accountable for excellence in service, patient care, and outcomes and exhibits exemplary clinical, operational and financial performance for all assigned departments. Areas of responsibility are primarily those with system clinical functions designed to support the delivery of patient care within the hospitals and some outpatient services that fall within the licensure of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing. MSN required. Current certification preferred.

Experience:

Three (3) years of recent management experience plus 5 to 6 years of clinical RN experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Nursing specialty certification required within 6 months of position start (applicable certifications include approved ANCC clinical specialty or nursing leadership certifications).

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to apply leadership, management, and business principles, combined with the knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
