Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 1245 East College Street, Pulaski, TN 38478 Job Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within our assisted living and home health settings. This position requires a strong background in nursing management, with a focus on developing and implementing effective care plans that adhere to HIPAA regulations. The ADON will lead a team of nurses, supervise daily operations, and ensure compliance with medical records systems while fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient well-being. Duties Manage and supervise nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents. Oversee compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes in assisted living and home care settings. Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements as necessary. Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional development. Ensure that all nursing documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards. Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing personnel. Requirements Valid nursing license (RN) with significant experience in nursing management or leadership roles. Proven experience in assisted living or home health environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of care planning processes and medical record systems. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff, patients, and families. Ability to foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
