Job Summary:

The Director of Nursing assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient care and all staff activities including direct patient care and quality improvement initiatives. Maximizes resource utilization and achieves organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes. Ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards, and state/federal laws and regulations. In programs with coordinators in place, supports those leaders in addressing personnel, patient, and operational issues that escalate. Manages patient care operations. Directs and coaches’ staff in personnel and patient care processes. Minimum Qualifications for the

Job:
Education:

Graduation from accredited Nursing Program with a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree in Nursing.
Experience(s): Five (5) years of current long-term care nursing experience.

Preferred Experience:

Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.

Substitution:

May substitute two years’ experience if candidate has an associate degree in nursing.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nursing License
Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS)

Internal Hires:

 Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rules.

External Hires:

This position starts at an annual salary of $133,244.80. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based up on relevant experience.
