Job Summary East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Officer responsible for advancing the philanthropic goals of the College of Nursing and the College of Health Sciences. This position reports jointly to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and the Deans of the College of Nursing and College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will be charged with:
Developing and coordinating a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan for both colleges
Cultivating and stewarding relationships with individual donors, foundations, and the corporate/business sectors
Leading efforts to secure private support through major gifts, annual giving, and other development initiatives
Supporting University Advancement-wide initiatives and collaboration across colleges and departments Time allocation for this position is approximately 40% for the College of Nursing, 40% for the College of Health Sciences, and 20% for University Advancement. Ability to travel. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required.
Three (3) or more years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or development, or equivalent experience in sales or other relationship-building roles. Preferred Qualifications Salary 76,636.11
