Located in the heart of Starke, FL, we are committed to delivering personalized, outcome-driven rehabilitation services in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking a dynamic Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house therapy team and support our mission of helping residents achieve their highest level of independence.
Position Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for the overall leadership and coordination of the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services in our subacute rehab department. This hands-on leadership role ensures quality care, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient outcomes through staff supervision, program development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals. Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure quality, patient-centered care. Coordinate care with nursing, medical, and administrative staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor documentation, billing accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and facility standards. Conduct regular staff training, performance reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate departmental records and manage budgetary needs.
Qualifications:
Active license in Physical Therapy PT, Occupational Therapy OT, or Speech-Language Pathology SLP in Florida. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting. At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role preferred. Strong knowledge of subacute rehab, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and EMR documentation. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. CPR certification. Certification in Rehabilitation Management or Administration.
