$400K+ We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Director (PD) to lead the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency Program in Ft. Pierce, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of future leaders in the field of PM&R.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all educational and operational aspects of the PM&R residency program. Submit complete and accurate data to ACGME and GMEC. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, including those related to grievances, non-discrimination, and educational standards. Resident Oversight Manage resident selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Provide semiannual and final evaluations of residents’ progress. Document education verification for residents within 30 days of their departure. Educational Oversight Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with the institution’s mission and the needs of the community. Ensure educational experiences across all ACGME competencies. Foster a learning environment that balances education with high-quality patient care. Faculty Oversight Approve or remove program faculty members as needed. Support faculty development and professionalism, ensuring alignment with program goals. Appoint the Clinical Competency Committee and oversee faculty evaluations. Learning Environment Ensure a safe, equitable, and inclusive training environment for residents. Promote a culture that allows for the reporting of mistreatment or concerns without fear of retaliation. Program Integrity Serve as a role model of professionalism and ethical conduct. Act as the primary liaison with ACGME and institutional leadership. Encourage and support scholarly activity for residents and faculty.
Program Director Qualifications:
Current board certification by ABPMR or AOBPMR (no alternate qualifications accepted). Minimum of 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience. Ongoing clinical activity in PM&R is required.
Time Commitment:
The Program Director is required to dedicate at least 0.2 FTE to the residency program. Additional FTE may be allocated based on the total number of residents (e.g., +0.3 FTE for 11-15 residents).
