DOR:
PT, PTA, SLP
) to fully manage our rehabilitation department, ensuring the highest standards in treatment and direct patient care . The DOR will oversee our team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, providing leadership and support to ensure optimal care for our patients. This key position will involve managing clinical operations, developing individualized treatment plans, and working closely with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient recovery and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, focusing on treatment and direct patient care . Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of rehabilitation professionals, ensuring they adhere to best practices and maintain high performance standards. Collaborate with medical staff and department heads to provide integrated, patient-centered care. Ensure that the rehabilitation department complies with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Offer support and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Clinical Operations and Patient Care:
Develop, implement, and oversee individualized rehabilitation plans for each patient, ensuring that treatment goals are aligned with their needs and recovery objectives. Actively engage in direct patient care as needed to lead by example and ensure quality outcomes. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure that patient care is continuously optimized. Promote evidence-based, compassionate care to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Work closely with patients and families to educate them on the rehabilitation process and expected outcomes.
Departmental Oversight and Strategic Planning:
Develop departmental goals and objectives, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission to provide high-quality rehabilitation care. Manage department resources, including budget, staffing, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes, integrating them into department protocols. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field. Current, active state licensure in rehabilitation (Physical Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology). Minimum of 5 years of experience in rehabilitation services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Demonstrated expertise in managing treatment and direct patient care within a rehabilitation setting. Strong knowledge of subacute rehabilitation services, clinical practices, and healthcare regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to assess, develop, and implement rehabilitation programs that maximize patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in long-term care or subacute rehabilitation settings. Certification in Rehabilitation Administration or Management. CPR and First Aid certifications.
