Description
MSS is looking for a detail-oriented, passionate Rehab Director Occupational Therapy Assistant or Physical Therapy Assistant for our beautiful Skilled Nursing Facility campus in Tupelo, MS.
MSS is a faith-based, non-profit organization that focuses on providing Patient-centered care.
The Rehab Director’s primary responsibility is for leadership of the therapy team including management of the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, supervision of therapy staff, and the coordination of RUG management. The secondary responsibility is patient care. The Rehab Director exhibits high performance in Methodist Senior Services’ core values, leadership, team development, customer service and department operations. The Rehab Director works closely with the Executive Director – Rehabilitation Regional Manager to ensure that Methodist Senior Services’ standards are maintained and that available resources are well utilized.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Current license/certification in the state of Mississippi. Minimum of one (1) year experience in rehabilitation setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation. Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, bend, drive, stand, sit and reach constantly during an eight (8) hour day/shift. Ability to speak and hear to understand and give directions. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess and monitor patient/resident needs, maintain accurate records, understand directions and recognize people. Fine and gross motor skills. Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community. Work endurance ability to work eight (8) hour days/shifts. Ability to participate in sustained activity for up to three and one-half (3.5) hours at a time. Reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts and correspondence. Possesses highly developed communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

Typical therapy clinic environment. Requires ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends. Strong organizational skills in order to effectively maintain multiple projects simultaneously. Requires creativity as well as the ability to work independently. Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.
