Responsibilities:
TheDirector of Rehab PT is responsible for the efficient management ofrehabilitation services in their assigned account(s). This positionalso assists in integration of rehabilitation services in allsettings. The Director of Rehab PT ensures that the higheststandard of rehabilitation services is delivered and maintained. 1.Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable managementof rehabilitation services in assigned site(s) of service. 2.Provides direct patient care. 3. Monitors the standard of clinicalservices being delivered and maintained in all sites and ensures anethical and compliant product is being delivered. 4. Operationallymanages Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants withinfacility or home care contracts. 5. Ensures accountability to theprovision of evidence based care and adherence to care deliverystandards. 6. Reviews monthly department and individual therapistoutcomes and supports staff in identifying strategies to improveoutcomes as needed. 7. Assists therapy staff in identifying andremoving barriers to treatment and providing clinical education tomeet the needs of the patient. 8. Takes responsibility for thedevelopment and support of all staff in their site to includerounding, coaching and mentoring. 9. Assumes responsibility forannual merit evaluation of therapy staff. 10. Assumesresponsibility for hiring therapy staff (in conjunction with theClinical Operations Area Director). 11. Assumes responsibility fordaily staffing and utilization with input from treating therapists,consideration of clinical requirements, and recommendations fromthe Clinical Director. 12. Administers financial controls ofrevenue and expenses. 13. Assumes responsibility for facilityreports on a weekly and monthly basis. 14. Assists ClinicalOperations Area Director in annual budget preparation. 15. Assumesresponsibility for meeting annual budget goals as set by theClinical Operations Area Director. 16. Assists with clinicalorientation and ensures that there is a quality orientation processfor new rehab staff. 17. Supports the delivery of the higheststandard of rehab services through appropriate utilization ofresources, the promotion of clinical programs, and staffdevelopment in collaboration with licensed therapists, the ClinicalOperations Area Director and the Clinical Director. 18. Promotesall Powerback Rehabilitation products and services wheneverpossible. 19. Assists Clinical Operations Area Director inidentifying and securing new contracts. 20. Develops and maintainsrelationship with facility management team and staff as arepresentative of Powerback Rehabilitation. 21. Ensures that theclinical management of the rehab department, including oversightrelated to case management, quality improvement, care planning,clinical utilization, and patient identification is overseen. 22.Completes monthly reports and formally reviews them with thefacility administration. 23. Performs other related duties asrequired.
Qualifications:
1. They must have a valid PhysicalTherapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of licenseeligibility. 2. They must have a Master’s degree in PhysicalTherapy; or 3. They must have a Master’s degree in a PhysicalTherapy related field in addition to a Bachelor’s degree inPhysical Therapy; or 4. They must have a Bachelor’s degree inPhysical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PTexperience. 5. The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earnedoutside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent toa degree in Physical Therapy. 6. Additionally, the Director ofRehab PT must have three years direct patient care experience andone year of management experience. 7. A thorough knowledge ofMedicare and third party billing is also required.
