Required Qualifications:
Oneyear’s recent experience as an EEG Technician required Current BLScertification ( AHA/ARC )
Preferred Qualifications:

Summary:
An EEG technician is aneurodiagnostic technologist who specializes in runningelectroencephalogram (EEG) tests, which are used to monitor brainactivity and assist in diagnosing neurological disorders.
EssentialWork Functions:
Performs routine and advanced EEG procedures toobtain information for physician diagnosis of neurological andnervous system disorders Gather and document patient medicalhistory to include neurologic symptomatology and medications toguide the diagnostic process. Educate patients and family memberson test procedures to ensure understanding. Monitors and adjustsEEG equipment to ensure optimal recordings Assess and document EEGrecordings Complete all documentation and report preparation in anaccurate and timely manner per established guidelines ensuringreports meet established guidelines for accuracy and completenessMaintain work environment, supplies, and equipment per establishedguidelines Maintain current knowledge of trends, regulation,equipment, policies and procedures pertaining to functional areaPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellenceand good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read,write, & communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities
- Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
- To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
- Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel.
