Travel We are looking for an EchocardiogramTechnologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening inRaleigh, NC. The right Echo Tech must have 1 year of experience.
Read below for additional requirements. As an Echo Tech, you willbe responsible for the use of the cardiac ultrasound machine andensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians formedical interpretation. Echo Techs are also responsible for thepreparation of and caring for patients undergoing echocardiograms.
Tasks As an Echo Tech, you should be prepared to perform the followingtasks: Educate patients and/or patient’s family regarding proceduresperformed Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographicstudies Consistently perform quality Doppler and color DopplerExams Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according toPhysician and benchmark standards Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according tophysician expectations Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes andacquired images Report findings or concerns to reading physician for promptinterpretation Perform all related processing required for each completedstudy Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfectingaccording to department procedure and identifying problems withequipment and reporting appropriately Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RSNational Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods oftime, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techsmust have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology andmedical terminology.
