Vascular Technician Essen Healthcare – 2.5 Bronx, NY Job Details Part-time | Full-time $25 – $45 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Interventional radiology Anatomy knowledge Telemetry Vital signs Cardiac catheterization Physiology knowledge Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Cardiology Patient care Registered Vascular Technologist Emergency medicine Aseptic technique Medical imaging Associate’s degree Interventional radiography Sonography Interventional cardiology Full Job Description Vascular Sonographer Technologist typically – performs the technical aspects of all arterial and venous studies on hospital and clinical patients; positions patients for scans; sets up and adjusts equipment for each scan; prepares supplies, instruments, equipment, and assists physicians during related procedures; selects and adjusts equipment and transducers to appropriate settings to obtain, record, store, transmit and print optimal images; confers with physician to determine if additional images or information is required; assures the completion of patient records and patient charges. communicates with other departments to successfully schedule various exams for the patients and schedule of same day add-on patients; maintains adequate supplies in vascular ultrasound rooms and informs the supervisor when supplies are depleted; provides technical assistance and instructions to students, employees, and medical residents; performs other related duties as assigned. Vascular sonography technologists assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. Vascular sonography technologists perform non-invasive vascular exams in order to assess for vascular disease or disorders. Associates or bachelor degree in Vascular Sonography is required. performs the technical aspects of all arterial and venous studies on hospital and clinical patients; positions patients for scans; sets up and adjusts equipment for each scan; prepares supplies, instruments, equipment, and assists physicians during related procedures; selects and adjusts equipment and transducers to appropriate settings to obtain, record, store, transmit and print optimal images. Summary As a Vascular Technician, you will utilize your expertise in cardiac catheterization, telemetry, and medical terminology to perform diagnostic evaluations and assist in interventional cardiology procedures. Your core skills in physiology, vital signs, and anatomy knowledge will be essential in providing quality patient care. With premium skills in interventional radiology, you will contribute to the advancement of medical imaging techniques. Working in a Level I Trauma Center, your relevant experience in emergency medicine will be invaluable.
