Under indirect supervision of the EEG Coordinator or MD, the Inpatient EEG Tech II records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system. They are responsible for operating an EEG machine that records brain waves. They obtain the patient’s head measurements, prepare the patient’s head for the attachment of electrodes, record the patient’s brain activity, observe the findings and generate written reports.
