About the Candidate Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Upon submission of application, proof of the following must be provided: Current State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate Current designation as a Basic Life Support provider A valid State of Florida driver’s license Completion of a minimum certified 16-hour emergency driving course Successful applicants must meet all requirements for Drivers as listed in Florida Statutes 401.281 While working for Century Ambulance Service, Inc., the EMT must have on his person at all times: Florida driver’s license, EMT license, and BLS card.
