Braveheart Medical Transport 114 John Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352 Overview The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) plays a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations. They are responsible for assessing patients, transporting patients to and from scheduled appointments, delivering pre-hospital care, and ensuring safe transport to medical facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. Duties Respond promptly to scheduled non-emergency transports, and emergency calls and provide high-quality medical care at the scene. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer basic life support techniques, including CPR and first aid. Monitor vital signs. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals. Assist in triaging patients based on their medical needs during emergencies. Safely transport patients to hospitals or urgent care facilities, dialysis centers and doctors appointments while monitoring their condition. Maintain and operate emergency medical equipment and ensure it is ready for use at all times. Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including other EMS agencies doctor office staff and hospital staff. Skills Proficient in patient care and transport protocols and procedures. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to emergency situations. Ability to assess patients quickly and accurately, utilizing vital signs as key indicators. Experience with medical equipment used in emergency settings. Familiarity with emergency room operations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in high-stress environments. Job Types:

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
