Includes a $2.00 per hourdifferential for weekend shifts (shifts starting Friday nightthrough Sunday night). Weekend Emergency Medical Technicians! Weare seeking New York State certified EMT-Basics who are looking towork weekends – this would be a great part-time job for a collegestudent or someone with a full-time job looking to make some extramoney in time for the holidays! Mohawk is hiring confident EMTs toprovide patients with basic life support and transport to medicalfacilities. EMTs collaborate with other emergency medical personnelto stabilize patients, and to arrange their reception at medicalfacilities. EMTs must be accountable to their patients, conductthemselves in a professional manner, be positive, and commit tocontinue their EMS education to become the best provider possible.

An EMT is responsible for completing a 2 person crew that willrespond to 911 calls for service, provide appropriate patient care,and complete electronic care reports for each incident. Selectionfor weekend shifts is subject to seniority and shift bid process.

Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Valid NYSDriver’s License required NYS EMT Certified (successfully completedan approved New York State EMT-B or AEMT course, or out of stateequivalent, and achieved a passing score on the practical andwritten certification examinations; note that AEMT-certifiedemployees will be practicing at the EMT-B level) Successfulcompletion of free, in house training (EVOC/emergency vehicleoperator course) Clean driving record (no points, no recent motorvehicle accidents regardless of fault) preferred Ability tocommunicate effectively via telephone and radio equipment Abilityto lift, carry and balance up to 125 pounds (250 lbs. withassistance) Flexible work available (8,10, 12 hour shifts). Minimum36 hours per week for Full-time, and 12 hours for Part-time;subject to one additional shift per week • Only experience whichcan be verified will be recognized. New hire experience must beverifiable and must represent time spent in the EMS field, withinthe specific job classification for which they are being hired,that is not de minimis, volunteer or piece meal work.
