Job Description Overall Purpose of The Job:

The EMT will utilize their knowledge and proficiency of evidenced-based medical practice and Intl.

SOS protocols to manage unexpected and emergent situations and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner. The EMT will support the provision of direct and indirect medical care to patients in emergent situations and will competently function as a member of the team to provide patient centered medical care in the pre-hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system traumas. Assist the Paramedic in determining the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishing priorities for required emergency care. Assist the Paramedic in rendering emergency medical care to all patients. Operate all emergency vehicles as the primary driver with due diligence for the safety of others. Restocking EMS units once supplies are received as well as assisting other clinic operators with restocking Maintains equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable ready-response condition Performs other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications Required Skills and Knowledge :

Ability to assess adult and pediatric patients in pre-hospital setting. Ability to successfully perform BLS interventions in accordance with protocols Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems

Essential Capabilities:

Ability to function with accuracy and efficiency in high pressure or emergent situations. Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations. Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a foreign national patient population Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively work with persons of diverse age and economic background in a culturally competent manner. Must be able to manage and provide concise directions to supporting staff. Ability to quickly adapt to changing work conditions and responsibilities.

Required Work Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of EMT experience in a busy 911 system Experience in a remote setting is preferred Prior military or fire experience preferred

Qualifications:

Possession of a EMT Level Certification from National Registry (NREMT) – Required Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required A valid US Passport is required and must be in your possession prior to deploying. To be considered for the position, you must have at least 18 months left on your passport before renewal. You must also maintain that passport during your stay.

Max:

$75,000 Compensation – Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. Benefits – This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
