Emergency Department Technicians (Patient Care Techs)

• Full Time Evening At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, ED Technicians thrive as invaluable care providers.

As a designated 911 receiving hospital, our ED has achieved the highest distinction given by the American College of Surgeons and is now one of only a few Level I Trauma Centers in the New York region providing around-the-clock access to a trauma surgeon, operating room as well as every subspecialty of surgery available. As an ED Technician, you will provide compassionate basic patient care and assist with daily living activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will collect data elements and communicate observations and information obtained using various methods and tools to the Registered Nurse (including but not limited to vital signs, surveillance of telemetry, perform EKG’s, glucose by finger stick). Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a Full Time Evening Shift (37.5 hrs/wk; 3P

• 11P) position at NYP/Queens Hospital.

Every weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment.
