– Emergency Dept (CMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-19 Scheduled Weekly Hours 12 Work Shift Rotating (United States of America) Job Description The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CAN/ER Tech performs multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the patient. Assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
PRN Status Clause:
This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
Additional Job Description Minimum Education :
A high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA is required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations :
Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina, or have an Emergency Medical Tech Certification for South Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required before seeing patients.
