Assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopydepartment. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, andcleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performinginvasive endoscopic procedures.

Competencies:

Provides various service related activities to the delivery ofdirect and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of theoperating room prior to and during any endoscopicprocedure. Required to rotate shifts and accept on-callassignments. Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, abilityto pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopyprocedures. Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptictechniques and endoscopy instruments.

Education/Skills High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience Previous experience working in the Operating Room or EndoscopyUnit preferred GI Tech experience preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS required GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred
