Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist the RN and physician with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab. Ensures GI Lab procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures. Monitors PAR level of all endoscopic instruments and supplies. You will be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all endoscopes, instruments and equipment. Tasks and Responsibilities, you will: Maintains endoscopic instruments and accessories in working order and consistently recognizes malfunctions and helps troubleshoot equipment. Able to assist in the procedure room by anticipating and responding to the equipment and supply needs of the physician. Sustains a clean and safe patient care environment, implements and follows infection control procedures according to the hospital policy. Follows unit policies regarding cleaning and disinfection of equipment. Responsible to set up procedure room by selecting appropriate equipment and supplies in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of positioning to ensure safety for the patient during the procedure.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate / GED Graduate from an accredited school of professional vocational/technical Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Knowledge of basic arrhythmias Minimum of 1-3 years previous endoscopy experience preferred
