Central Sterile Tech II

Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements. - Resets instrument sets without error.
- Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
- Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
- Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
- Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
No Licenses and Credentials
Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred Experience
related experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of case cart assembly.
- Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
