In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting with endoscopic procedures, ensuring that all equipment is properly prepared and maintained, and providing support to medical staff during diagnostic evaluations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with a commitment to patient care and safety. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment for procedures, ensuring all tools are sterile and functioning properly. Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations by providing necessary instruments and support. Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure. Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information and equipment used. Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and workflow efficiency. Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of endoscopic instruments post-procedure. Stay updated on advancements in endoscopy techniques and technologies. Qualifications Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical imaging is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician or in a related healthcare role is advantageous but not required. Certification or training in endoscopy or related fields is a plus.
