ENDOSCOPY TECH SPECIALIST Position Available In Blount, Tennessee

JOB SUMMARY

Assists in Endoscopy procedures under the supervision of the physician and registered nurse. Responsible for care, handling, and processing of endoscopy procedural equipment and turnover of procedure room. Assists in transportation of patients. Maintains adequate inventory levels in the unit. Call rotation is required

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education and/or experience: Required high school diploma or GED equivalent. One year medical experience required. Graduate from a surgical technology program or military trained as a surgical technologist preferred. Experienced Endoscopy Tech with completion of SGNA GI Technical Specialist Program preferred. Current BLS required.

Knowledge:

Demonstrates proficient knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment.

Skills:

Basic computer skills required. Demonstrates proficient technical skills. Effective communication with patient, family, and staff.

Abilities:

Must be able to work variable hours. Demonstrates self direction in improving and acquiring the skills and abilities necessary to enhance job performance. Must be able to work with patients and staff in courteous, professional manner. Ability to prioritize tasks and adjust priorities as necessary. Must be able to meet or exceed patient satisfaction at all times.
